Membership Information

Membership is open to persons age 18 and older, no exceptions. Attend a meeting and apply for membership. There is a $25 new-member fee to cover initial materials, plus $39 dues every six months. Full-time students at St. Petersburg College are offered a reduced new-member fee of $20, then $27 every six months as long as they are a student. Membership includes a subscription to The Toastmaster magazine. Guests are welcome to visit at no cost.

Four Reasons to Join Toastmasters

T	Toastmasters helps men and women learn the arts of speaking, listening and thinking-vital skills that promote self-actualization, enhance leadership potential, foster human understanding, and contribute to the betterment of mankind.
A	Appreciate other people's messages - we need to truly hear and understand the messagethat they are trying to convey. Too often we are unable to understand the needs of our family members as well as business associates. We show others we care when we listen to their words as well as their body language. Learn to be a better listener by attending a Toastmaster's Club meeting.
L	Language skills are a must when communicating a message. While we may be open to others, other people sometimes lose our message if we appear uncomfortable, ill at ease, uninformed or unprepared when speaking to them. We at the Seminole-SPC Toastmasters Club hone our language skills by participating in impromptu speaking as well as prepared speeches.
K	Keeping our business communications skills honed is a must seeking promotion to a more rewarding job or a position that is more monetarily compensated. At Seminole-SPC Toastmaster's Club, we practice business communications skills at every meeting.
